Conditions of Participation

1) Organizer and organiser:

The event is organized by the Salzburg State Ski Association (SLSV). The race is organized by the Ski Club Salzburg (SCS), Saalachstrasse 38, 5020 Salzburg, Austria.

2) Venue:

Until further notice, the event will take place on the finish slope (Schmalzleiten to finish) of the FIS World Cup downhill course Kälberloch in the Zauchensee ski area, 5541 Zauchensee, Austria.

3) Description of the race:

The event consists of two competitions.

ski cross competition, with all the elements of alpine racing. From slalom to giant slalom to SuperG, as well as from a wave track to a steep curve and jumps.

· A traditional Giant Slalom.

Each day, two courses will be flagged out, separated by safety nets, with the courses set up according to age, so that one course is for the younger age groups and one course for the older age groups. The course allocation is the responsibility of the race management.

4) Competition rules:

This event will be held according to the rules of the Austrian Competition Regulations (ÖWO). These can be downloaded here: https://www.oesv.at/ .

5) Eligibility to start:

Children who belong to a national or international ski club and fall into one of the following 14 starting classes as defined by the ÖWO are eligible to start: U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, male and female. Year groups outside of these classes are not allowed to start.

6) Registration:

Registration can only be made via the website www.kidstrophy.at. Registrations via email, letter, fax, telephone or via www.skizeit.at cannot be accepted.

Registration begins on February 1st of the event year and the registration deadline is the second to last Wednesday before the start of the event. Registrations before the registration start date and after the registration deadline will not be considered! The Salzburg Ski Club reserves the right to bring the registration deadline forward.

If the event is cancelled due to force majeure or abandonment, participants are not entitled to a refund of the entry fee or to reimbursement of other expenses such as travel or accommodation costs.

7) Team captains meeting:

The team captains' meeting takes place the evening before in the seminar room of the World Cup Arena Zauchensee. Attendance is not compulsory. Important information and any changes will be announced at the team captains' meeting.

8) BIB pickup

The start numbers are issued on the morning of the race day in the Zauchensee World Cup Arena. The start numbers are only issued to each club. The supervisors receive the package with the start numbers and a confirmation of the entry fee. It is no longer possible to change the registration, especially to deregister racers.

9) Ski passes:

Discounted ski passes for the racers can be purchased after receiving the start numbers with the entry fee confirmation. One discounted ski pass can be purchased for one supervisor per club and for every five starters. (5 starters = 1 ski pass, 10 starters = 2 ski passes, etc..)

10) Inspection:

The inspection of the race track will take place after the jury has approved it. The inspection times, the last admission time and instructions on how to inspect correctly will be announced at the team captains' meeting or on the day of the race via loudspeaker announcements.

11) Start:

The start time is stated in the announcement. Racers may only be accompanied to the entrance corridor.

12) Race course:

During the race, no supervisors, parents, etc. are allowed on the race track. In the event of falls, injuries or similar, the racer will be cared for by the piste staff on the race track and handed over to the supervisor or parent outside the race track. If necessary, rescue transport will be organized.

13) Medical care

Each course is staffed by a race doctor and an Akja. The Red Cross headquarters in Radstadt will be informed about the event in advance.

14) Disqualifications and protest time:

Any disqualifications and the protest time will be announced via loudspeaker shortly after the end of the race and posted on the notice board at the finish.

15) Winning Ceremony

The award ceremony will take place in the finish area after the end of the race.

16) Image rights:

By submitting the registration for KidsX and/or the Kidstrophy, the participant expressly agrees that the SCS may collect
Photos/film recordings may be made of the event and irrevocably transfers all rights for any use and publication to
the photos/film recordings, as well as the image material provided by the participant, to the SCS. The SCS is entitled to
Photos/film recordings without any temporal, local or content-related restrictions independently or through third parties, regardless of the transmission, carrier and
Storage technologies (especially electronic image processing), for example for illustration or advertising purposes, or to distribute them via
to use streaming.

17) Insurance:

By registering, the participant confirms that he/she has race insurance.

18) Liability:

The organizer and the SCS will do their best to ensure that the event is carried out safely, but even with the greatest care and optimal running of a ski race, an accident can still happen. This is a generally known risk. The participant is aware of this risk and will therefore check on his own responsibility whether he feels physically and mentally able to take part in and start this event.

The organizer or the SCS is only liable for material damage if it was caused intentionally or through gross negligence by an act or omission on the part of the organizer or the SCS. In any case, there is no liability if the organizer or the SCS and its staff took all necessary measures to prevent the damage or if these measures could not be taken. In any case, the organizer and the SCS are not liable for damage caused by sponsors.

Exclusions or limitations of liability also apply mutatis mutandis to employees, agents and staff of the organizer and the SCS. There is no right to compensation or reimbursement if the event is changed or cancelled, in particular for safety, weather or other valid reasons, whereby the organizer and the SCS reserve the right to make changes to the route and schedule.

19) Equipment regulations:

Competitors are required to wear a helmet.
